SAKURA FESTIVAL AT SAGANO
As the sakura sweeps across Japan, Sagano Japanese Restaurant is bringing to the territory a gourmet festival that pays homage to sakura which has occupied a special place in the hearts of all Japanese for centuries. The sakura festival at Sagano composes an a la carte menu, lunch and dinner set menu – all dedicated by Japanese Master Chef Masahiko Noka.
Available from 10 March onwards, Sagano is serving a selection of Sakura Specialties that incorporates edible sakura and sakura leaves on a la carte basis. The menu composes the refreshing clear soup with fish and wild vegetables, the aromatic stewed tilefish sakura rice cake, the sweet and delicate chilled sakura beancurd with sea urchin and the crispy bamboo shoot, minced shrimp and sakura leaf tempura. Available during lunch and dinner daily, these dishes are priced from HK$180 to HK$200.
For midday pleasure, Sagano is serving a lavish Sakura Set Lunch. The highlight of this set lunch is assorted seasonal appetizers which incorporate various petite Japanese offerings such as grilled gluten with miso paste, grilled sliced duck, mini glutinous rice dumplings and stewed lotus and lily bulbs. Another tempting dish is the deep-fried prawn and vegetable wrapped with sakura leaf which will tantalize your palate with its crispiness and floral aroma. Available from Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays) and priced at HK$240 per person, Sakura Set Lunch also comes with assorted sashimi, sushi and sakura ice cream.
Dinner patrons may try the exquisite Sakura Enchantment Set Dinner that simply guarantees to delight your palate. With chilled sakura beancurd with sea urchin and stewed tilefish sakura rice cake as the highlights, the sumptuous set also includes sashimi, soup, grilled dish, deep-fried dish, rice and dessert. Costing HK$1,300 per person, the 8-course dinner set is available after 6pm daily.
Sakura Set Lunch and Sakura Enchantment Set Dinner are available from 19 March onwards while Sakura Specialties will be available starting 10 March. All menus above are available until 30 April.
