			Use of energy-efficient equipment, including energy-saving light bulbs and the installation of a water control device
			Use of environment-friendly paper and cleaning products
			Minimizing the use of natural resources through computerisation of internal communications, with all documents stored in and forwarded via an internal e-mail system
			Audit and inspection by external, registered EMS auditor, conducted twice a year to ensure compliance of elements of the system with ISO 14001 standards
			Plastic bottle recycling programme
			Minimization of water pollution through close monitoring of the sewage treatment tank
			Liaison with Hong Kong Polytechnic University to provide opportunities for students to study and practise the conservation of energy and water at our hotel
			Establishment of a scholarship to encourage students who demonstrate outstanding performance in environmental projects
			Establishment of an award scheme to acknowledge employees' ideas for the continued conservation of energy and natural resources
